I managed to solve the issue of the lever rotating the opposite way to it being interacted with. I did this by multiplying the rotation by -1 which then fixed the issue. The lever now functions as intended, however it still has many issues that I plan to come back and fix if I have enough time at the end. The biggest issue is that I cannot be pulled towards the player, only pushed forwards and then pulled back to an upright position, this seems to be an issue with the value of the rotation, as it moves smoothly up until 180 degrees in which it gets stuck. Another issue is that even though I have locked the other two axis to prevent the lever from rotating in any other way than forwards or backwards, occasionally the lever will push forward at more of a diagonal direction. The lever in its current state works and whilst these issues are prevalent, I have decided to move on and work on the next task, that being a radial menu.
